2. What Information We Collect & Why

Usage Data (automatic): IP address, device type, browser, referring pages, and time-on-page collected via Google Analytics to analyze performance and security. Legal basis: legitimate interest or consent where required.

Contact Form Data (provided by you): Name, email, phone, and message content collected to respond to enquiries. Legal basis: contract or pre-contractual steps.

Booking Data (provided to third-party): Name, contact details, and appointment preferences submitted directly to our external booking provider to facilitate reservations. Legal basis: contract.

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use first-party Google Analytics cookies for aggregate statistics; IP addresses are truncated or anonymized when available. Our booking provider sets essential session cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; doing so may affect Site functionality.

4. How We Share Information

Service providers (e.g., the booking platform) receive only the data necessary to deliver their services. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. Data is stored on secure servers in the jurisdiction of our service providers. We use TLS encryption in transit and industry-standard safeguards at rest. Enquiry data is retained no longer than 24 months after last contact; Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months; booking data is kept as long as required by business records or legal obligations.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email admin@trueweb.ca. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Make It Shine Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your violation of this Agreement or misuse of the Site.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Prince Edward Island, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Prince Edward Island.
